Towelrads manual angled valve and lockshield functions work like a tap in that the top of the valve can be turned to allow more or less water into the radiator. This straight radiator valve joins the radiator to the central heating pipework in a straight horizontal line, whereas the pipework comes from the floor. Lockshield valves regulate the amount of water flowing out of the radiators into the return pipes, which helps to ensure water is evenly distributed across all radiators in the property and provides an even heat.
