Overview:
The Ucp Negative Temperature Coefficient Sensor is a versatile and compatible component designed to work with a wide range of boilers, including ecoMAX VU (condensing), ecoMAX VUW (condensing), THERMOcompact VC (fan-assisted), TURBOmax VUW (fan-assisted), VC-VCW (conventional flue), COMBIcompact VCW (conventional flue), THERMOcompact VC (conventional flue), aquaPLUS VUI (fan-assisted), COMBIcompact VCW (fan-assisted), THERMOcompact VC-VCW (balanced flue), and VC-VCW (balanced flue) boilers. The sensor or thermistor plays a vital role in the temperature regulation process, reducing circuit resistance as the temperature increases. It collaborates with the boiler's printed control board (PCB), which sends a current to the thermistor, effectively determining whether an adjustment in heat output is necessary by analyzing the relative resistance.
